OCC

Operation Christmas Child is a yearly tradition for me and my family.
Now, it's a tradition for my husband and I!
Each year since we've been together, we've made a date night out of putting our boxes together.

I love the thought that a little boy or girl is going to open their first Christmas present...
and that it's from us.
I love that we got to put it together, together.
I love the idea that this little boy or girl will recieve food that day and will hear the gospel message.
That little guy or gal will be loved on very much that day.
He or she will have new toys to play with, some candy to taste, and some new school supplies.
And hopefully, that lil guy or girl will walk away knowing that they are loved. And that they have that hope of personally knowing the one who died for their sins!

And know what else is cool?
Our church is the dropoff point for this part of Iowa.
so we get to witness the giving hearts of people and see the numerous boxes lined up in our church. Each filled with 15 to 21 shoeboxes; one for each kid. We have currently over  700 boxes.
that's over 700 kids receiving the Christmas message!!!!
These boxes are going ALL OVER THE WORLD. And that many kids will hear the gospel and recieve a little box of Christmas love!
How awesome is that?
and we still have the rest of the week to receive boxes.

If you haven't done a box yet; you should consider it:)
the boxes of consist of little toys and candies and school supply.
really, not really much to break the bank; just enough to make a kid somewhere out there, smile tremendously.
you can even track your box to see what country it ends up!
now, hurry and do it, Sunday is the last day that you can drop your boxes off!
